On Thursday, Nov. 5, Big City Outlaws plays the Corona Stage & Lawn at Grandscape from 7 to 9 p.m. On the same boulevard, at 6060 Grandscape Blvd., The Colony's first Costco is three weeks old. Community Impact reported that it opened Oct. 16. The warehouse closes at 8:30 p.m. on weekdays. Shop before 7 and the whole set is still ahead of you.
That overlap matters because of how November's calendar falls. Grandscape's free programming sits mostly on weeknights and Dallas game days. The City of The Colony holds its two biggest free events of the late fall on Saturdays, at The Athletic Club and Perryman Park. Know which calendar a given night belongs to and the month is easy to plan.
Costco put a weekly errand on Grandscape Boulevard
Grandscape has always pulled people in for an evening out. Before mid-October, though, it wasn't on most households' grocery route. The new warehouse is a 155,000-square-foot building with a gas station next door, at Spring Creek Parkway and Grandscape Boulevard. For other area warehouses, Community Impact lists two Plano warehouses, one in Frisco, and a Prosper store that opened in March 2025.
According to Costco's page for The Colony, Gold Star and Business members can shop these hours:
| Warehouse | Gas station | |
|---|---|---|
| Monday–Friday | 10 a.m.–8:30 p.m. | 6 a.m.–10 p.m. |
| Saturday | 9:30 a.m.–7 p.m. | 6 a.m.–8:30 p.m. |
| Sunday | 10 a.m.–6 p.m. | 6 a.m.–7:30 p.m. |
Executive members get earlier warehouse hours. The weekday close is the useful part. Grandscape's Thursday stage shows start at 7 p.m. and run until 9. On a Thursday this month, you can shop and top off the tank before 7, then head to the lawn without leaving Grandscape Boulevard.
One more food opening is coming down the street. The Dallas Morning News reported that White Castle started construction on Destination Drive on June 2 for its first Texas restaurant, with an opening expected in fall 2026. No opening day has been announced, so plan November without it.
The Thursday stage carries Grandscape's free nights
Grandscape's November events calendar runs its "Live on the Stage" series on the Corona Stage & Lawn. Every show starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 9:
- Thursday, Nov. 5: Big City Outlaws
- Thursday, Nov. 12: Barefoot Nation, a Kenny Chesney tribute band
- Friday, Nov. 13: Caribbean Waves. The listing calls this show free to the public and suggests a blanket or lawn chair.
- Thursday, Nov. 19: American Petty, a Tom Petty tribute
- Thursday, Dec. 3: Infinite Journey
The December calendar adds Hip Hop Hooray on Dec. 10.
The same lawn turns into a watch party on game days. Grandscape shows Dallas games free on the giant outdoor screen at the Corona Stage & Lawn, and its restaurants carry the games indoors. In November that means Sunday screenings on Nov. 8 and Nov. 22 at noon and Nov. 15 at 3:25 p.m. The lawn also hosts Monday "Game Day" screenings at 7:15 p.m. on Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. For anyone keeping a weekly routine at Grandscape, Monday and Thursday nights are the anchors this month.
Windmills Craftworks fills the weekend nights
The Thursday stage is a free lawn show. Windmills Craftworks runs a run of named jazz and vocal acts on Friday and Saturday nights, and the lineup turns toward the holidays as the month ends. Grandscape lists these dates:
| Date | Performer |
|---|---|
| Sat., Nov. 7, 7–9 p.m. | Jim Snidero Quartet, led by the alto saxophonist |
| Fri., Nov. 13, 7–9 p.m. | Laila Biali, a 2026 GRAMMY nominee and Canadian singer-songwriter and pianist |
| Fri., Nov. 20 | Gretchen Parlato, a GRAMMY-nominated jazz vocalist |
| Sat., Nov. 21, 7–9 p.m. | Kings Return, the Dallas-based a cappella quartet that formed in 2016 |
| Fri., Nov. 27, 7–9 p.m. | Elias y Su Orquesta Latin Christmas, a 10-piece salsa, merengue, cumbia and bachata ensemble |
| Sat., Nov. 28, 7–9 p.m. | A Charlie Brown Christmas with the Michael Clement Trio |
Nov. 13 is the busiest night of the month. Laila Biali's show at Windmills Craftworks and Caribbean Waves on the lawn both run from 7 to 9 p.m. The two Thanksgiving weekend shows, on Nov. 27 and 28, are the first holiday-themed programming on Grandscape's November calendar.
Grandscape has not posted a 2026 Holiday Kickoff on its November calendar. In 2025 the kickoff fell on Saturday, Nov. 22, with Santa, live performances, a vendor market and a letter-writing station. The weekend before Thanksgiving is worth watching on Grandscape's events page, because no kickoff has been scheduled for it yet. Kings Return on Nov. 21 and the Nov. 22 Dallas game screening are the weekend's listed events so far.
Saturday daytime at Grandscape goes to causes and books
Grandscape's Saturday daytime listings this month are organized events, not concerts. The Breakthrough T1D Walk Dallas takes over the property on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The listing describes thousands of families, friends and company teams raising money for type 1 diabetes research. If you're planning a Costco run that morning, expect walkers and event traffic on the property. The warehouse opens at 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
The next Saturday, Nov. 14, Tales on Tap presents Well Read Fest from noon to 5 p.m. Grandscape bills it as a family book fair with activities. It shares that Saturday with the city's biggest free event of the fall.
Nov. 14 belongs to The Athletic Club
The City of The Colony's annual American Heroes: A Salute to Veterans and First Responders runs Saturday, Nov. 14, from noon to 9 p.m. at The Athletic Club, 4100 Blair Oaks Drive. Visit The Colony describes a free event with carnival rides, games, a concert series, food trucks and a drone show.
The times are what make the day work. Well Read Fest at Grandscape ends at 5 p.m., and American Heroes runs until 9. That gives families a book fair in the early afternoon and the drone show after dark at The Athletic Club. If you only make one stop, American Heroes covers the longer window. The city's event calendar is the place to check for last-minute changes before you go.
Dec. 5 moves the city's holiday season to Perryman Park
The second city Saturday comes right after Thanksgiving. Holiday in the Park and the Parade of Lights is set for Saturday, Dec. 5. Visit The Colony says lighted floats will finish at Perryman Park, where the evening continues with music, games and rides. The same guide lists the Christmas Spectacular at The Colony Central Fire Station, a light show synchronized to holiday music, with showings every night of the season. The parade route, start times and the light show's nightly schedule will be posted on the city's calendar.
That puts The Colony's two community-wide days of the season, Nov. 14 and Dec. 5, at The Athletic Club and Perryman Park, with the fire station's light show running every night in between. Grandscape's lawn stays on its own schedule. Infinite Journey plays the Thursday before the parade, Dec. 3, and Hip Hop Hooray plays the Thursday after, Dec. 10.
Here's how a household could map the weeks from now through Dec. 5:
- Thursday nights: Costco before 7 p.m., then the Corona Stage & Lawn on Nov. 5, 12 and 19 and Dec. 3.
- Friday, Nov. 13: Pick Laila Biali at Windmills Craftworks or Caribbean Waves on the lawn. Both start at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 14: Well Read Fest at Grandscape until 5 p.m., then American Heroes at The Athletic Club until 9.
- Thanksgiving weekend: Elias y Su Orquesta on Nov. 27 and A Charlie Brown Christmas on Nov. 28, both at Windmills Craftworks.
- Saturday, Dec. 5: The Parade of Lights and Holiday in the Park at Perryman Park, with the Christmas Spectacular at Central Fire Station on any night you like.
Costco's opening adds a weekly errand to Grandscape, and the Tomlin Team follows openings like it because they change how The Colony's main corridors get used. If you're thinking about what that growth near Grandscape Boulevard means for a home you own or plan to buy in The Colony, schedule a consultation with our team.
